Adding Partners to an Event (Domain-Based)

The most common way to add partners. Click + Partner in the top right of any collab to open the Invite Partners modal.
  1. Enter a partner domain (e.g., meta.com) and click Add.
  2. Add as many domains as you need. Each appears in the list below the input.
  3. Click Ok when done.
Users with email addresses from those domains will be automatically joined to this event when they log into heyBTW. No email is sent. The partner only sees this specific event, not your other collabs. You can remove a partner domain by clicking Delete next to it in the modal.

How Domain Permissions Work

Adding stripe.com to your Berlin Fintech Dinner means anyone with a @stripe.com email who logs into heyBTW will see that collab. They won’t see your other events unless you’ve added stripe.com to those collabs too. Each event is scoped separately.

Inviting a Partner with Email (Co-Host)

Use this when you want to send a specific email invitation and set someone as co-host.
  1. Open a collab and go to the My Partners tab.
  2. Click + Partner at the bottom of the partner list.
  3. Enter the partner’s domain and contact email.
  4. Optionally set them as Co-Host.
This still uses domain-based permissions, but also sends them an email invitation to join heyBTW. Use this for partners who aren’t on the platform yet.

Adding a Partner from the Ecosystem

You can also add partners at the workspace level:
  1. Go to Partner Ecosystem in the left sidebar.
  2. Click + Add Partner in the top right.
  3. Enter the partner’s name and domain.
Partners added here appear in your ecosystem but aren’t automatically added to any collab. You still add them to specific events using the methods above.

Where Partners Appear

Partners added to any event collab automatically show up in your workspace-level Partner Ecosystem Dashboard. You don’t need to add them twice.

Partner Status

  • Active - Partner has logged in and can see their events.
  • Invited - Email invitation sent, partner hasn’t joined yet. (Only applies to email invites, not domain-only adds.)
  • Inactive - Partner exists in your ecosystem but has no active collabs.
