Overview

You’ve received an invitation from a partner to collaborate on a co-marketing event using heyBTW. This guide walks you through what to expect and how to get started.

What You’ll Need

  • The invitation email from your partner.
  • About 2 minutes.
That’s it. No credit card, no lengthy onboarding, no IT involvement.

How to Join

  1. Open the invitation email from your partner.
  2. Click the Join Collab link.
  3. Create your account (or sign in if you already have one).
  4. You’ll land directly in the shared collab workspace for the event.

What You’ll See

Once inside, you’ll have access to:
  • Event details for the co-marketing event you’re collaborating on.
  • Shared invite list showing target accounts and contacts for the event.
  • Post-event metrics including attendee data and attribution results (after the event happens).

What You Won’t See

Your partner’s raw CRM data, internal pipeline, or other collabs you haven’t been invited to. heyBTW is privacy-first. Each organization controls what data is visible in shared workspaces.

Optional: Connect Your CRM

You can optionally connect your own CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce) to see attribution data from your organization’s perspective. This shows you which of your target accounts attended the event and whether they progressed in your pipeline. Connecting your CRM is not required to participate. You can get value from the shared workspace without it. See Connecting Your CRM for details.

Multiple Invitations

If you collaborate with this partner on multiple events, you’ll be invited to additional collabs over time. Each collab is a separate workspace for a specific event, and your partner network data accumulates across all of them.
